Cleansing crystals is the practise of clearing crystals of any negative energies and recharge with positive energy! It is also believed that cleansing will help the crystal to function at its best, and also help to enhance its effects on your energy and wellbeing.
There are many different ways to cleanse crystals, and the best method will depend on your personal preferences. Here are some common methods for cleansing crystals:

Water: Water is a common method of cleansing crystals, and is particularly effective for softer crystals like selenite or amethyst. To cleanse a crystal with water, simply hold the crystal under running water, or place it in a bowl of water. You can also add a few drops of holy water, sea salt, or other cleansing agents to the water to enhance the cleansing effect.

Sunlight or moonlight: Sunlight and moonlight are powerful sources of energy, and can be used to cleanse and charge crystals. To cleanse a crystal with sunlight or moonlight, simply place the crystal in a sunny or moonlit spot, and leave it there for several hours.
